TRUE BRIDGE serves to connect Charlottesville on an urban and local scale. The project responds to divisive edge conditions surrounding the site. True Bridge becomes an extension of the pedestrian Mall, attracting community members from outer neighborhoods. This building’s transparency symbolizes the project’s overarching goal - to promote intersectional relationships between the citizens of Charlottesville from every corner.

Three distinct programs - education, exhibition, and coworking - create a dynamic, flexible space that adapts to the needs of users. The ground floor provides public seating, a scarcity along the privatized pedestrian Mall. Interior coworking spaces encourage collaboration and teamwork for professionals and university students. The public gallery will showcase various exhibitons about the history of the city and new government initiatives, both cultural and infrastructural.
